Feb. 8, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: California Wildlife Center Visits Wild Birds
On Feb. 8, the California Wildlife Center's Education van will be at Wild Birds Unlimited from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The CWC is the pre-eminent wildlife rescue and rehabilitation resource in the Los Angeles area.
Recently the CWC had to evacuate its facility on Piuma Road in Malibu Canyon. However, its vital work continues, even more in demand after the fires scorched much of the wildlife habitat in its area.

The van will show how California’s wildlife needs protection and preservation. Further, it will demonstrate what wildlife rehabilitation is, how it is practiced, and how human activity affects wildlife. Best of all it will educate visitors about how to live alongside wildlife as a good neighbor.
Wild Birds Unlimited is hosting this event to help support the California Wildlife Center, whose services are under more demand than ever before. You can donate through the CWC website or by visiting us on Feb. 8 to see in person how the CWC does its important work.
To find other resources for wild bird rescue, check California Fish and Wildlife's Wildlife Rehab page for advice and lists of approved wildlife rehabilitation facilities or our Bird Rescue and Rehabilitation page. Some facilities will be more busy and crowded than usual. Please be patient and donate.
