Class: A Beginner's Guide to Bird Walks

It’s spring and the perfect time to get out in the neighborhood or on the trail for a bird walk. But, how can you be sure you'll find birds and, when you find them, know what bird you're looking at?

Left: This adorable Dark-eyed Junco is one of the birds frequently seen on walks around this area.

To find out all you need for a successful walk, stop by Wild Birds Unlimited on Saturday morning. We'll show you bird-identification books and online resources, binoculars, clothing, and local and regional birding locations. We also will talk about the 10-15 birds you might expect to find (are most likely to see) this time of year in our local mountains, parks and lagoons.

After the talk, we will do a brief bird walk in the neighborhood behind the store.

When: Saturday, April 27, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Free: No RSVP required
