Bluebirds are some of the most beautiful visitors to our back yards. But lately their numbers are down, mostly because they are experiencing a housing shortage. They like to nest in hollow trees, but there are few old snags in our manicured neighborhoods. So they need specially made bluebird boxes.

That's where Ian Kimbrey comes in. He's a local expert in bluebird life and nesting. He, not only builds bluebird boxes, but also knows how place them them so bluebirds will find them and thrive as they raise families.

Ian will tell you all about our Western Bluebirds, demonstrate his own boxes and others, and will show how to place them.
